The Maryland Hospital Association needed a partner who could recommend smart technology  solutions for their meeting spaces that would be flexible enough to accommodate different workflows and meeting styles. Ease of use was a top priority, along with integrating BYOD solutions that would allow users to seamlessly connect, share, and collaborate within the spaces.

Solution

Cenero partnered with the Maryland Hospital Association to create sophisticated tech solutions for their meeting spaces that could work for a variety of use cases. For the boardroom, Cenero designed a center credenza that houses 4 displays to allow for visibility from every seat at the table. 8 cameras were installed so everyone could be seen clearly and also featured tracking capabilities to follow the presenter in the room. All solutions included BYOD capabilities, camera tracking, and audio pickup to create more immersive and engaging meeting experiences.

Situation

Texas Native Health, a non-profit organization providing services to support the Texas Native American community, needed a partner to help develop collaborative solutions for their multi-purpose area. The space needed to work for many types of use cases, and audio needed to extend to additional overflow areas throughout the office including the kitchen, lobby, and hallway.

Solution

Cenero collaborated with Texas Native Health to design and integrate flexible AV solutions in their multi-purpose area, including providing audio coverage in additional areas so that people can hear clearly in overflow spaces. We provided strategic guidance on the type of solutions that would allow people to use the space in a variety of ways, incorporating technology that was flexible for a multitude of meeting scenarios. Cenero also provided in-person training on the technology, empowering all employees to confidently use the new AV solutions in the space.

Situation

A senior living organization recently partnered with Cenero to update their spaces for easier, more stable long-term use. All spaces needed to be engaging to support keeping the residents mentally active, including audio throughout the facility, digital signage, and tools to assist hearing challenged residents.

Solution

Cenero designed a custom interface to deliver audio throughout the facility. This included an intuitive solution that allowed for control of the music from any touchpad or iPad. A content management service was also provided for all of the digital signage across buildings which allowed for easy management of content, and specific templates to simplify content creation.

The implementation runs across 26 zones including high end suites, a concierge suite, multi-purpose spaces, a theater, and more. Their multi-purpose space includes plug in capabilities so those who have trouble hearing can better understand meetings and events. Cenero has now partnered with the senior living company on 4 locations, and plans to incorporate similar standards in additional facilities.

Interactive Videowall Technology Enhances Member Experience

Situation

The Mine, a luxury boutique fitness experience located in Towson, Maryland, provides experiential and specialized fitness instruction and training for their members in various studios. In order to maximize this unique fitness experience for their members and bring them back to the club, The Mine wanted to have their members’ workouts be very specialized through new technology.

Solution

The Mine partnered with AV expert Cenero to develop audiovisual solutions to enhance their various exercise studios. Ann Marie Barbour, the Director of Programming and Operations at the Mine describes that “video, visuals, and sound is so important for a club with a boutique studio experience and Cenero really worked with us to get us set up properly.”

Cenero provided an interactive video screen in The Mine’s Ride+ studio. According to Barbour, “the screen makes the room an experience and brings everything to life for members. It makes them forget about the world around them. It makes them completely pulled into the music, the experience, the instructor, and the people around them.”

Cenero also provided the TechnoGym Kiosk where members are able to track their reps of a specific exercise using an armband, and their progress is displayed on the digital signage.

Overall, The Mine chose Cenero to assist them with their specific AV needs “because of the products they have, the creative thinking of how to install the product in our space, as well as customer service and follow up.”

New Collaboration Standards Simplify the Meeting Experience

Situation

Catalent, the leading global provider of delivery technologies for pharmaceuticals, biologics and consumer health products, needed simple ways for employees in different offices to connect and collaborate with each other as well as with remote participants. The company had many different types of meeting spaces across all of their offices and all of the rooms in each location were set up differently – there were not standards in place and the type of technology solution varied by office. This often meant that people in a meeting room in one office location did not have the ability to connect with people in meeting rooms in other locations. Catalent needed a partner who could work with them to develop cohesive standards that could be implemented in every meeting room in every office to allow for simplified collaboration across the organization.

Solution

Catalent decided to partner with AV expert Cenero to create and implement collaboration technology standards for all office locations. Incorporating the same solution for every meeting space in every office provided employees with easy-to-use collaborative technology that allowed for simplified interactions among remote teams.  “In the past, we often would see people struggling with the technology in meeting spaces, the meeting experience for most was frustrating at best,” said Joe Montano, Director of Customer Experience at Catalent. “Not being able to work together effectively had a great impact on productivity, and this impact of ineffective meeting spaces only increased during the pandemic.”

Due to the pandemic, Catalent implemented a hybrid working model, with 30% of employees working on a flex schedule while others worked entirely remote. During this transition, Catalent also pivoted to using Teams and Zoom as a way to facilitate communication among remote teams. Effective meeting space technology became an even more critical component of every day interactions, as people needed easy ways to connect in-office and remote participants.

Creating Standards for Improved Collaboration

The new standards meant every room in every location would work the same way, people could walk into a room and easily connect and collaborate with remote participants using intuitive, user-friendly technology. Cenero simplified the workflow for meetings, so all employees would just need to push one button to launch a meeting. “Now, employees can walk into a room, hit the big green button on the tablet and the meeting starts,” said Montano. “Not only is this simple and intuitive, but it also is set up to be the same for every meeting space across the organization. This translates into an improved meeting experience for all employees.” Creating standards also simplified the support process. With consistent technology across rooms, the service and support processes can be the same, so there are less issues with meeting spaces not working when needed.

Standardized Training Increases Tech Adoption

“Another benefit to having consistent standards across meeting spaces is how easy it is to train people on the collaboration technology,” said Montano. “Because the experience is the same in all locations, Cenero was able to create training materials, videos and Quick Start Guides that we can use across the organization.” The videos feature quick tips to starting a meeting, presenting wirelessly using Teams and Zoom, meeting controls and other helpful information that everyone in the company can easily reference. Employees are able to quickly become comfortable using the technology, helping to increase adoption and drive usage. Every office now uses the training materials, and the Quick Start Guides have been translated into six languages for Catalent’s global locations.

Cenero also put together a Standards document, detailing the technology and room set up for each type of meeting space, to ensure every office had the information needed when implementing the new standards. “Cenero has truly been a partner to us, helping design and implement clear standards for all of the different types of meeting spaces that we use every day,” said Fernandes. “They worked with us to consider our goals, the types of meetings we have and then recommended the best type of collaboration solution to facilitate improved interactions during those meetings.”

“Before implementing these new standards, it was relatively impossible for people in one office location to connect with people in other offices. By creating standards for each type of meeting space, we were able to define parameters on how to use the rooms and communicate between sites. All spaces were also set up with agnostic collaborative technology that was easy to use; people could use whatever UC platform they felt most comfortable with – Teams or Zoom. This made the transition during Covid go much more smoothly.”

A multinational pharmaceutical company recently partnered with Cenero to assist with all of their collaboration needs for several of their Northeast-area offices. Cenero helped create solutions for a variety of spaces including huddle rooms, conference rooms and digital signage

One recent project includes two twin 7’ x 12’ video walls in the company’s new event center.

Cenero also installed RealFiction Dreamoc, a hologram case showing a 3D video timeline of the company’s inventions.

Once installation was complete, Cenero trained the onsite AV team so they can ensure easy adaptability among end users. Cenero’s managed services team continues to monitor all systems to keep them operational and increase efficiency within this global healthcare company.

Emergency Center Integrates New Technology to Improve Emergency Response Capabilities

Situation

Queen Anne’s County Department of Emergency Services needed to upgrade their Emergency Operations Center with the latest technology that would enable them to react quickly during a state of emergency. In an event of an emergency, 20 different agencies set up remote offices in the Center and users need to quickly access presentations, news briefs and more. The existing Center lacked the technology and tools needed to allow them to effectively conduct operations with the state, other agencies and within the Center itself. They wanted a simple solution that allowed all users to connect and share wirelessly and allowed for future growth.

Solution

Queen Anne’s County partnered with AV expert Cenero to develop technology solutions for their mission-critical environment. The updated Emergency Operations Center now has digital capabilities including a tablet that runs the room that is flexible and easy to use. “It essential that we have the technology in place to stay informed and share information during emergency situations,” stated David Rivett, Special Operations Division Chief for Queen Anne’s County Department of Emergency Services. “With the advanced solutions that Cenero provided we are constantly live fed so we know exactly the changing conditions and are able to monitor events as they happen. In addition, Cenero’s Constant Connect managed service provides remote 24-hour monitoring where they are able to proactively check all of the systems in the room and notify us immediately if there are any issues. We now have the confidence that our Center will always be fully function for crisis situations. It is important to us that they are able to provide this service without any interruption to our operations, so we can remain focused on the current state of emergency.”

“Our relationship with Cenero is invaluable to us as we continue to upgrade our center with the latest technology,” said Scott Haas, Director of Queen Anne’s County Department of Emergency Services. “Our next project is to migrate our Communications Center to Next Generation 911 and with that comes a great deal of video capabilities that we do not currently have. We are going to rely on Cenero to guide us on the best way to enable video within our Dispatch Center.”
